The Facebook bookmark included with your Kindle gives a Facebook-lite version which displays well on the Kindle screen. Same with the GMail bookmark. Bookmark the Mobile version of BBC News for another quick loading site that works well with the Kindle browser. Google News also loads well on the Kindle.

- On the Kindle Books home page is the Daily Deal - usually a book for $1.99, sometimes 99c. New book every day.
- Watch the demo video then download Calibre.
- be patient with your new Kindle - it does take a few days to get used to the buttons and mistakes will be made that might cause you to lose your place.
